How many premier protein shakes should I get

Recommended Posts

I don't know if you are a costco member, but I buy mine there, in the 18 pack. I usually buy chocolate and vanilla. It's about $25 for the 18, compared to about $8 for 4 here, in Seattle area, so a better deal. You can also use them to make sugar free Jello pudding and such, so I really like them.

my doctor told me to drink them for Breakfast and lunch but I dont know how many I should get go back to see my doc on the 25 of this month

25th minus 9th (today) = 16 days.

16 days times 2 sachets per day = 32.

Easy.

You will need them post op too. I'm two weeks out and am required to have two a day. Get a few cases.

How do you make the pudding? How much pudding to each shake? Thank you!

Sorry if this is something you've already done but just in case.... try whatever you're thinking of buying in bulk first because you don't want to end up with a bunch of stuff you hate. Premier is what I tried first and I like it. I've bough 3 4-packs at Walmart. Due to time and proximity of Walmart vs costco. But I'll be going to Costco today :)

- No idea what I'm doing but I'm here! :)

I would personally hold off on stocking up on Protein Shakes before surgery. I was fine with Premier shakes before my sleeve but afterwards the smell and taste made me gag. I'm 7 months out now and still don't like them. Sometimes taste can be affected by surgery and I wouldn't want you to be stuck with a stockpile of shakes you don't like anymore.

Be careful stocking up post op. I was lactose intolerant for a few weeks post op. I could tolerate them with Lactaid, but muscle milk was much better (lactose free). Instead of stocking up on one thing, stock up on a variety so you can keep trying if something doesn't sit right.

On making Protein pudding...I buy whatever sugar free flavor of store brand, or Jello brand pudding I like. Then I add the Protein Shake instead of milk, to the instant mix. A small box takes 2 cups of milk, so I use a full Premier Protein, and then the balance in non-fat milk, whisk it up, pop it into a container and into fridge for atleast 10 min. Overnight is better, as it gives a smoother texture. I've done Choc pudding with choc protein, vanilla pudding with banana cream protein, and vanilla with vanilla pudding

I love the chocolate, and a little serving works wonders...YUM!

I'm not a big banana fan either, but a friend gave me 2 of the banana cream, and rather than waste it, this made it not as ick to me. chocolate is my favorite so far, and I think I'm going to try the Jello sugar-free cheesecake flavor with the vanilla. That ought to be good : )

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
