One more day! Mine is tomorrow first thing. I have to be at the hospital at 6:00 am. At first it felt like the day would never get here and now I’m a little freaked out going oh my gosh it’s tomorrow.

Excited for you and all us with surgery coming up this month. Good luck to all and can't wait to see the progress for health and to just look good in my clothes the way I want to look. Oct 25th can't get here soon enough. There are going to be challenging days, but we got this.

My surgery got moved to 10/23, a day earlier than originally scheduled. My pre-op education class is on the 10th and will start liquids on the 16th. Holy moly!! It's getting real!

Best of luck to all of us moving to the post op side this month!!

Not October but is 5 days ago close enough???

I had my sleeve surgery 9/26/17. So I am on my post op liquids. Aside from the first night......surgery is going fine. And I feel better each day. No appetite, a little hard getting my Protein and liquids down. But it's getting better.

PreOp W 263

No regrets! Be happy....we deserve to be healthy and feel good about ourselves!

Same here for me!!! I am a bit anxious but very ready to do this. Did you do a liver shrinking diet? I had to for two weeks. [emoji55]

So I am finishing up day 5 of Clear Liquids only... I wanna eat food so bad [emoji31] My diet only allows Protein Drinks, broth, sf drinks, sf popsicles, and sf Jello. What I've found is that it's ALL in the mind for me... my stomach isn't hungry (really!) but mentally, I'm craving everything under the sun. 9 days to go! Omg

I feel ya. I’m on day 5 too. Same diet as well. I’m want to eat so bad but I’m not really hungry. I think it’s just a mental thing of chewing. Seeing others eat doesn’t help...

I did a 5 day pre-op, it was the hardest part of my journey. I don't want eat much now because of the pain of being only 5days post op, if I drink too fast or too much it hurts!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
