My nutritionist required no coffee (regular or decaf) and no caffeinated tea for 3 months. I started drinking coffee as soon as I was cleared for it. Just no cream or sugar. I just have it with soy milk.

I have noticed that cold brew is a lot easier on my stomach. When coffee is brewed with hot Water it speeds up brewing but also draws the acid out of the coffee. Cold brewing takes longer and doesn't use high temperatures so it's much smoother. It's great considering adding acid to the sleeve can cause a lot of irritation. I'm a bit of a coffee snob and I've found great cold brews in the refrigerated section. My favorite is Stok unsweetened. Super smooth flavor!

Definitely check with your surgical team to see what they say but I would absolutely recommend staying away from it for at least a few months.

I do a weekly starbucks mocha frap with almondmilk which cuts the sweetness and a scoop or two of Protein ,that's a treat for me that I don't feel guilty about and I'm getting my protein in as well .And if it don't go there I go this other coffee shop that makes a fitfrap and its has 25 grams of protein as well .

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
