Hi Sue,

Thanks! I will definitely keep you posted. I have BCBS and I was just approved for the surgery this week. YAY! I have planned on 3 weeks out of work, but I'm prepared for maybe longer. It will depend on the amount of work she does, whether or not I'll have the msucles tightened is the big question for me right now. I'll be able to talk with her on Feb. 12. You are doing fantastic!! Congratulations on the wonderful weight loss! Youre working hard and it shows! I don't know if I'll ever get to 150 lbs, and that's okay, my biggest goal was to get under 200! (I haven't been here in "ONE-derland" since high school! LOL)I love my band!

Blessings, Mary

Scott, good talking to you at Lahey on Tues. I enjoyed the meeting and got a lot of good information. You look terrific. I noticed everyone who has been banded looked great. Can't wait for the day I can cross my legs like a lady LOL. I have to attend 4 classes can you give me an idea what those are like? Are they different from the group meetings? Thanks.

To a new life! :biggrin2:

Greetings from Western MA (Amherst to be exact). During my yearly physical last week my PCP mentioned that I might be a candidate (...for President :) -nah!) for weight loss surgery. 245 5'2". Yeah, she's right! So..right now I am reading a lot, learning what I can and getting ready for the best part of my life!

Anybody else from Western Mass? I guess I would be going to Mercy Hospital or Baystate?? I've got an appointment w/ my PCP on the 1st (April Fools Day...how appropriate LOL!!) to get the ball rolling.

I look forward to sharing my journey.

OceanGal aka Meg

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
