Smoked weed yesterday and my surgery is friday!

Has anyone smoked days before surgery? I'm not an everyday mj smoker but I do it every other weekend sometimes. I had my pre op visit last Monday along with my endoscopy and hadn't smoked weed in almost 3 weeks and I took a urine test when I went and they didn't say anything about it being positive for THC. So this past Friday and yesterday I took a couple of hits and my surgery is this this Friday! Will I be ok?[emoji51]

WOW! I'm glad those 2 aren't on my support team! Way to make a person feel bad about themselves!

If you think that prescribed medications cause your body harm and marijuana doesn't you're only fooling yourself, marijuana is far worse on the lungs than cigarettes anyone who is feeling like they are defending their use of drugs is in need of some rehab and meetings.

@JT2002TJ saying "girl stop" when I don't know you, is speaking down to me and rude. She was defensive against anyone who had an opinion on the matter. She posted something, and this is a forum for everyone to share their thoughts and opinions, just because it isn't to someone's liking, and because they didn't like to hear criticism on the matter and wanted a babied answer, they also were rude to every person on here that said that was not a good idea. We are not doctors so we said be honest with your surgeon. Also, this is not just a random surgery...if you are serious about this journey you are about to embark on why risk it? That is all we were saying. So because I shared my opinion, I was told "girl stop" with a rude remark after. Not having it. If you want to defend that, sure. Go ahead. You're completely entitled, as are we who have opposing opinions.

Firstly, you just offended most people on this site. Secondly, if weed isn't so necessary in your life and this surgery is important to you...why would you have risked it to begin with? Thirdly, consult your surgeon, not us non-athletic people.

You did not offend me at all! Congratulations torriqurll!

I smoked a day before surgery (9/4/17 was my surgery and i was good

I had to submit a urine the morning of surgery, but I think it was for pregnancy.

Yes its pretty much standard for any woman who is pre menopausal or has not had a total hysterectomy to have a pregnancy test within one week of surgery for obvious reasons. And surgeries have been certainly been canceled because of unexpected surprises
