Sushi after Surgery?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had any problems with sushi after surgery? I obviously mean months and months down the line like 7/8 months down the line. I am just wondering out of curiosity.

Lots of peeps have sushi early.. like 6 or 8 weeks. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Always go slow the first time.

My dietician told me to make sure whatever I try for the first time like this, to try it at home, just in case we don't handle it so well. I cannot wait for sushi!

Sashimi after 2 months out should be ok if you don't overdo. Sushi with rice is probably off limits for me until I reach goal. Very high cal and carbs,

I do sashimi frequently and did from early out. Rice is not on my plan and causes pain in my stomach so I don't do actual sushi.

Yup, I ate 2 pieces of sushi out with some friends about 8 months out. It was fine, but really, not great for diet plan, since after 2 pieces I was stuffed. It'd be impossible to get in enough Protein eating any real amount of sushi, but I think it's okay for a 'now and then' thing. However, it's definitely something to try carefully. Maybe start by trying all the pieces of sushi on their own first: avocado, cucumber, fish, a tiny bit of rice...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
