Any January 2018 Sleevers?

Anyone else scheduled for January 2018? I have my surgery scheduled for January 11. I'm having to wait until next year because I had a stent put in back in December 2016. The anesthesiologist won't sign off until I have had the stent for at least a year and am able to come off of Plavix for the surgery.

Yes! I’m scheduled for January 11th also. I’m getting a little nervous but much more excited. I wish you all the best on surgery day and in the future..

I think it all depends on what type of coverage is negotiated by your employer.

I have Kaiser and I had to go through 12 week of classes before I could even get a consult with bariatric surgeon. I received my surgery date at my consult. If you do not have to take any classes, support group class or a psych evaluation then you are lucky. I thought that all of that was the standrd now to go through prior to be pproved for any bariatric surgey.

Oh wow! Is this the standard for everyone!?! Anyone???

I’m the 16th and would love a buddy too! Are you getting excited? How is your pre op diet going so far?

I’m on the 18th also.

My surgery is in two days so Excited and getting nervous! My pre op diet went well I got the Premier Protein pre made and it tastes good. I am now on the clear liquid until tomorrow. Every time I got hungry I drank more water it helped and stepping on the scale every few days seeing the weight loss really motivated me. I’m down 16 lbs before surgery. Seahawks Fan you’ll do great! Keep it touch. And I’ll keep posting as I go along too. Best of luck to everyone we are on our way to new beginnings..

Hey New4me2,

I'm on the 11th too! Today is my last day to eat. I'm doing 2 protein shakes and a salad, tomorrow is clear liquids. Down 8 lbs. Not much but I wasn't required to lose anything.

Hi futurefitmom2four,

Nice to have a same day buddy? I think I will do the same with the protein and a salad today and clear tomorrow. Let’s keep in Touch I would love to know how your doing as well.

I am struggling right now with everything not sure how I should finish my two last weeks

I did 4 weeks on full liquid - no cheat until dec 18

then I got delayed to jan 22nd with instructions of no fat no sugar as much as possible. Just about everything got fat / sugar so yea, lovely. I don't know if i should try to go liquid even if the nurses just said i can eat normally

My daily meals looks like this: 1x premier protein, 1x protein bar, 1x egg + tomato + chicken stock, cauliflower + 1 low fat sausage + chicken stock, 1x greek yogurt , 1x fat free pudding + protein (1/2 cup)

I make sure I have plenty of protein every day in my 3 last week I didn't regain any weight I lost but didn't lose anymore

Hi Keira Fae,

The liquid diet is tough but try to stick with it as best you can, you can do it it’s only two weeks, think about how great your going to feel as the weight starts to come off! The future will be full of new adventures, excitement and energy..
