nsaid alternative for cramps?

Recommended Posts

The only thing that has ever worked for me when I have cramps is Ibuprofen and now I can't have that. Tylenol never works. Does anyone have anything the have gotten from their doc or figured out something else that works?

When I left the hospital I was given that pain medication in liquid form. It's a huge bottle, so when I have a cramps I take a bit of that it helps

I still have some meds from the hospital, but I'm kind of thinking about what the heck I'm gonna do long term cuz eventually it will run out and I'm never supposed to take nsaids again

Omg I had never thought of that! I don't have my period anymore but seriously, I'd have been bedridden without my ibuprofen! I feel for you!

I'm past that age, but mine was brutal, so I know what you are going through and my heart goes out to you. Motrin was the only thing that worked for me too. Tylenol and aspirin are absolutely useless against cramps.

How about the birth control pills that stop your period or the hormonal IUDs?

Midol would usually help me. Also, I noticed when I had a car with seat warmers they helped my period cramps amazingly well, so if you have that I'd say go for a drive, lol!

I have a Mirena IUD now which decreased my periods to only occasional spotting, but the first couple of weeks were hard. I had lots of cramping as my girly parts adjusted. Also, I got a full-blown period after my sleeve surgery.

HTH!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
