Good afternoon, today is my 3rd day post op. Of gastric bypass. I must say it's been hard. First day it was horrible for me. Because I couldnt tolerate 2oz of liquids. But I pushed through and was able to get discharged from the hospital at day 2. The gas is horrible. I been walking alot but those gas pains are death. I remember having an episode at the hospital in where I was lyterally in tears. But somehow I survived. But honestly they are the worst. Today I been moving a bit more freely keeping down the fluids slowly. And managing.

I know that this sounds like it is a cliche. Bt...it really does get better!! Now I am not a DR. but i can tell you something that works for the gas, please run it by your Dr. PAPAYA ENZYMES. They work the very best. They are natural and have saved me many times. They help with the gas and help with digestion. I chew about 3 or 4 then I lie on my left side and whamo!! Bota bing it gets rid of it. You can buy them at Walmart for less than ?5.00. Please check with your DR first. Good Luck!! Keep us posted.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
