Trouble in paradise...may need to call surgeon

Recommended Posts

Hi there! I need advise on what to tell my doctor, if I need to call him.

So I'm 70lbs down, 55 from surgery which was April 5th 2017...3.5 months ago.

Everything has been great, I can eat meat and veggies and usually have no problem unless I eat too fast or drink Water too soon which has only been a couple of times.

I've inky been bad with my Vitamins and water which I know is major, but I am trying very hard to get my **** together when it comes to that. I haven't been to a check up with my surgeon since May.

Problem: I had my period this week and with that I get bloat, cramps, gas and constipation- it's real fun! Not lol. On Friday or Saturday I noticed my tummy kinda hurt or felt full really fast so I took it easy. I did have a medium glass of champagne because after 3 months you can have carbonated beverages but I don't do it on the regular.

Then on Sunday I noticed that feel was lingering and now Monday and it's still lingering although I haven't eaten yet. Is it possible that maybe I am partially backed up (BM seems reg)? It's almost like on the other end it feels like I am backed up and my stomach is kind of full although like I said I haven't eaten.

I am very nervous to tell my Dr. And have to do more tests or x rays and I'm even more scared that I've hurt my ouch jn some way because I do my best to respect It! I don't think I am allowed to take real laxatives anymore but colace seems to do nothing, any suggestions please?

Hopefully you got this sorted out, but you should NEVER feel bad calling your doc with questions or concerns. That is what they are there for! It's always better to ask and it not be an issue, then not ask and have something horrible happen. Always err on the side of caution.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
