Recommended Posts

I'm 6 1/2 months out- down 55 lbs. I still eat everything, just in much smaller portions. So don't eat everything that isn't nailed down ladies! Breathe! Life is great on the other side. Good luck!

Hi thanks alot for sharing. I think we're all kind of a little scared. Your post gave me a small but good window in to next few weeks. Congrats to you on your surgery and weight loss so far.

Sandee, are you a sleever? I'm about to make an appointment for my surgery and I'm soooo nervous! I can see myself doing what the ladies above are doing.

Well day 2 and I cheated but only small bites. I think I've had maybe 1/2 c of solid food in 48 hrs. Definitely not easy and I'm disappointed I can't stick to 100% liquid.

You can do this!!! Stock up on things you can eat- premier shakes, broth, I had egg drop soup- that was filling. My nutritionist told me to blend 1/3 of a banana into my morning Protein Shake with Peanut Butter, Jello, etc. It's all worth it!

Get a pedi, go for a walk, etc.

good luck!

Good luck to all of you. You will feel so great about yourselves. Sometimes I will eat something that I loved before my RNY 11 yrs ago. Now some foods don't agree with me. I could give up meat easily however thank God I love veggies. You all will be proud and you will feel good about yourselves I am elated for all of you. It is the best thing I have ever done for myself!!!!!!IMG_1598.JPG

Is there a way to add someone as a "friend"? I would like to add all of you July sleevers so we can keep in touch. Or even on Facebook.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
