Hello. I had my sleeve done April 2015. Started off great lost about 90 lbs. when I went in for follow ups a few months later, doctor felt I was losing to fast and was sent to the ER to get IV. Since then, I think I became fearful of being sick or admitted. It's 2 years later and I have been stuck for about a year. I can tell my stomach has stretched and gain a few lbs. it's truly getting me down, feel stuck and don't know what to do. I feel like I'm failing and haven't seen my doctor since... fearfu. I don't want to have all I went through to be in sin and want to get back on my road.

I'd strongly suggest going back to your doctor and maybe the nutritionist, too. The sleeve is a tool to help you along the way, but this is a lifelong change in eating and exercise patterns. Don't beat yourself up about what's happened in the past--that does no good. Figure out how you can make the changes you want going forward and . . . go forward!

Best of luck.

Your dr putting you in the hospital for losing too fast doesn't even make sense and put unnecessary fear in you. Were you malnourished? Dehydrated? It takes a while to become malnourished.

At a minimum log your food intake so you can be honest about what you are eating. Most of it is really simple. 60-100g of Protein, keep carbs low, drink lots of Water and walk 30 minutes a day.

That surgeon gave you the tool you need to succeed. He can't make you follow a good eating plan. And you really can't lose too much too fast. There are guidelines for determining if you are underweight but I get the impression you never made it to goal.

I lovingly tell you that you know the plan, you know your body and you know how honest you are being with yourself. Consequently, only you can make the changes needed to get back on track. You can do it!

Take care.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
