Home from DS Surgery!!

I only stayed one night. Because they wanted to make sure my pain was controlled. Everything. Went great! Now I'm home, how to get comfortable!?!?!

Congratulations on your surgery. ;-):rolleyes:B):lol:B):P:)

After surgery it is hard to get comfortable, at least for awhile. This is especially true at bedtime. Some people resort to sleeping on recliners. But don't do what I did. I slept on my waterbed. It was so painful getting out of a waterbed after surgery.

I found that putting a pillow between my legs helped when I went to bed.

Try not to sit in soft recliners, as it will be a pain to stand up. I had mine on June 21st and I didn't sleep at all on my hospital stay night, so I am catching up on some sleep now. Congratulations!;)

Agree 100% with @James Marusek, it is dam near impossible to sleep comfortably for the first few days. Luckily it gets better quick. Best of luck with everything and congrats on the surgery!!

I am doing better, definitely. Hurts when I cough or laugh or when I am standing up from my couch. Tomorrow is day 6 for me, and I am able to sip more liquids than when I had just come home. I cannot wait to be able to eat at least some tuna or ground beef lol! Glad that you are regaining your strength.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
