Highly recommended Beverly Hills surgeon or Mexico?

I love all these responses. I am going to checkmate out all these docs and make my decision in the next couple days. The BH doc can do it in July as well, as long as I am cash pay. But it's just a ton more $ and I'm not sure if his trying to prevent leaks is really better than the other docs.

it seems a lot of the surgeons hand stitch over the staples as well.

Do you have insurance? I have a fantastic surgeon at UCLA and it is one of the best clinics in the country.

Who was is your surgeon at ucla?

I could have had the surgery for free by a good doctor (military hospital) but in the end I decided I only have one life and I’d rather pay for the best. I’m a mom like you, and that’s all I could think about, I’d rather save money on other things. Also, don’t be afraid to explain your situation and negotiate. The surgeon may be willing to give you a discount, especially if they don’t have to deal with reimbursement from insurance.

"Patients aren't protected there by the threat of lawsuits etc" I'm a medical worker and this is the very reason i would never have surgery out of the country I'm in Finance may I ask why you are paying? if you do not have insurance I understand But lack of adequate diagnosis coding is the reason many people do not get approved

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
