I'm following my 2 week diet, but I am gaining?

Recommended Posts

My highest weight was 360, I was recently down to 336.0, I was following my diet and my carb intake, but I am gaining? I weight currently 340.2 . Either it is the end of the day, and from all the shake and low carb hot dog (Only two) that I had. My time of month is also coming up. I want my liver to be shrunk in time. I dunno if it is Water weight that is creating the stall before surgery or what. I was told by my pcd (Primary care doctor) that my period will probably be on surgery day. Has anybody experienced this problem? Surgery is on the 6th this month.

It doesn't matter how well I stick to a diet or eating the way I'm supposed to post-bypass, it is a given that I am going to gain 3-5 pounds of Water weight before my period. So I can totally relate, and hopefully it's just hormonal water weight for you. [emoji4]

I hope so! I was told I can have stevia and some sugar substitute though only limited.
I have gone a bit over the 20 grams just by two grams twice. I hope that doesn't jinx it. :(

It doesn't matter if you are gaining weight if you are sticking to your diet. The diet is to shrink your liver. Period is 3-5 pounds and a stall for me every time.

Oh good. Thanks, that eases my anxiety.

I also don't know if you retain Water but I retained a ton of water when I was over 350, 10 to 15 pounds in the heat. I would swell terrible. So you might be retaining water also, since it is warm weather.

That would make sense. I just hope my period doesn't come during surgery... The idea of being on blood thinners and it coming... Not into that idea.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
