I'm on clear liquid diet for a week post surgery and can only have my Protein Powder mixed with Water - which is the worst experience so far. Yesterday I was still trying to gag down one scoop of Protein powder in 32 ounces of water (diluted to try to make it go down better) and had a great idea that now I'll be doing daily this summer. I took ice and a scoop of chocolate protein powder and blended it up using the rest of my above mentioned protein water (about 10 oz) to make a protein icee. It was so much better than I expected and I was able to get the full 28 ounces down within 2 hours. I feel tons better now that I got that much more water and protein in on day 5 post op. It's not exactly ice cream, but it's certainly enjoyable.

I did the same thing when I was on the pre-op liquids. Blended with ice is sooooo much better!!!

I was on the Protein Shake diet for 6 months about a year ago. Nothing but shakes, lost 65 lbs. The ONLY way I would drink it was with ice. It was like a ice cream shake. I actually like it.

That sound really good! I don't know if you can have Decaf coffee yet but lately I've been making my Protein Shakes with a cup of decaf, a splash of skim milk, ice and a scoop of Protein powder all blended up. I also took my Protein Shake and poured it into popsicle molds to make protein pops. Basically anything icy cold is my go to for protein shakes :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
