I just put down my deposit for July 4th! I will be going alone, is there anyone else that will be there at the same time?

Hi! I'm scheduled for July 6th with Dr. Illan. I am wanting to go alone but my husband and mother are freaking out about that so I assume one of them will end up going with me. I'm nervous for the countdown but super excite for the life change!

I'm scheduled for July 6th and will be going alone. Deposit paid and flights booked! I really struggled with the decision... but with the endless research I did... both common sense and my gut told me Dr. Illan is the one for me. 😊

I'm in the same boat Carmella!! Lots of research put in; I feel like I could give public speeches on the procedure. I look forward to seeing you there!

So glad that you guys replied! I too put in a lot of research. I am nervous and as the date is quickly approaching, I am getting more and more excited/anxious. I just came to the point where I knew that I had to do something and the more research that I did....the more I knew that this is what I had to do and just had a "feeling". I am hoping that you guys know what I mean. I feel like I sounded crazy when I tried to explain this to my family.

Samantha, I had the same feeling. I'm still dealing with my family's "feelings" about this. I have good support from others that have already had one done; some in the U.S. and some in Mexico.

I can't believe how quickly time is starting to tick away. I start my liquid diet the 27th and my birthday is the 28th *womp womp* BUT wine is liquid, so I think I will have a glass of that rather than some cake :)

My surgery is July 5th with Dr Ariel Ortiz. I'm flying down alone on July 4th. I've been on Pre-op liquid for a week already. Protein Drinks and green salads. I just want the 5th to be here!!!

Great news! I don't know why I'm worried about transportation from the airport to the hospital, but glad that I will have company :) I didn't want to make an awkward ride in the van alone lol

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
