May 15th, 2017 Sleevers Check in Here!!!

Recommended Posts

Ok. So I've developed this sharp nabbing pain on the right side of my belly. It hurts if I bend over, take a deep breath, cough, laugh, etc. I thought maybe I pulled the muscle where the incision is? Then I looked up the symptom from other Sleevers, seems like this pain pops up around 2 or 3 weeks, maybe later. Has something to do with the healing process. Might last a few days to a week. But the best thing is to rest and not strain it. My binder will be coming in handy these next few days. Anyone else with this?

So, I tried chicken! It was so good and yummy. We took our girls to eat out. I just figured I'd nibble on what they order. Nope, corn dog, fries, mac n cheese, mozzarella sticks....nevermind that. So I just asked for a grilled chicken breast with some cheese thrown on top. It was the best grilled chicken I've had in a long time. Very juicy, so that helped a lot. Of course I brought the rest home and threw it in the freezer for later. It was a nice addition to the limited foods I've been eating. Yay for chicken!

I ate chicken today also and it was great!!

I had about half of a small barbecued thigh. It was heavenly and my stomach liked it.

Your kids order like mine used too lol.

Sounds like you had a good day😃

Good evening, I was sleeping most of the day so yeah the chicken was chewed really well diced cut. My youngest help herself to some it. It went down smoothly of course only a few pieces. Yeah for bm. I hope you feel better. 😃. Cramps sucks had a few this morning. Your menu sounds great enjoy.

@Sweet as peaches it sounds like you had a restful day😃 I took your lead and I ate about half of a small chicken thigh. I chewed it up really well and it was so delicious. We ended up going to my daughters house for a barbecue so i didn't have to cook after all.My daughter hooked me up with some egg salad to have for a snack later. I was able to snap this cute picture of granddaughter and my hubby today.

My kids will too. I swear they're all in a growing spurt at the same time. They ate all their food, shared with each other. That was two hours ago. Now they're eating again. Thankfully, kids ate free at Applebee's today, so we spent $17 for all 5 of us. I call that a win!

Yes, my baby has been eating all day it's like living with a baby dinosaur. And she is tall already (5'7) I think she is having another growth spurt also.

Wow 5"7 sounds like me growing up. I was always one of the tallest girls in my class.

My dh and I have been empty nesters for many years now, but I am so blessed to have my grandchildren living so close. They are only 6 minutes away by car.

listening to yours and newme17 stories about your children brings back so many memories.

Yeah, I thought I pulled a muscle or stitch. It hasn't interfered too much with walking though. So that's a plus.

And she's 12? Wow. It seems the age...my step daughter has always been thin, but now she's stick thin, long and lanky like. It's amazing what she can eat. Even before surgery she still ate more than me. Don't know where it all goes. lol

Awww...sound alike great memories too. I, too, will have them. Although I prefer to skip the tween years. 😂 I'm getting grays already. Lol

im glad you had a beautiful day and a rest day of cooking too. 😊

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
