Hi Leanne, I’m in Kent. I have got my surgery 11th January. Giving myself plenty of time to absorb what I’m about to do to myself. It’s certainly a roller coaster of emotions and I worry about how I will deal with not being able to eat and drink after, but then that’s why I am here in the first place. So it’s about trying to balance the positives with the negatives. I’m not worried about having the surgery at all -it’s just the after and the total change of lifestyle that I’m going to have to let go of! Anybody else had or have the same feelings? How do i get through this bit?

So glad I found this forum. I can now sound off a bit and speak to likeminded people.

Hi. Thanks for replying! At last - someone I can talk to! I’m having the gastric sleeve on 11th January. I’m currently about 230 pounds. Had enough of being depressed about weight and not being able to stick to a diet. I’m 55 and want to change my life forever! How about you?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
