Hello

Yes I had 4 balloon dilation. They do it while having a endoscopy and they put you out under sedation. I had it done due to having narrowing and I was vomiting a lot. It helped temporarily. Most of the time it takes more than once to be effective. There is no pain. Why r you having it done?

I had a severe stricture and was balloon dilated. They did not fully sedate me. They put me in what they call a twilight state. I remember parts of the procedure but didn't feel pain. However my throat felt like strep throat the next day. I had the procedure repeated 3 times before it finally stayed!

What are the symptoms of a structure? I have been having discomfort in the center of my stomach below breastbone x 3 days. But I also ran out of my nexium and didn't have it for a week.

I had two strictures. The balloon dilation is nothing - no pain - and yes, I was sedated. I felt better almost immediately. Symptom for the person who asked is not being able to keep anything down. At first its some things - then gradually, you can't keep *anything* down, not even fluids. They're most common in the first three months of surgery. They're pretty rare after that.

might be it, then. Contact your surgeon and let them know what's going on. I had my first one at four weeks out and my second one at eight weeks out.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
