Hello!

I am currently a college student and I had surgery on March 14,2017. I have lost 25 lbs since my surgery. My body has went in complete shock. Two or three weeks after my surgery I had a period.... because of my birth control, I haven't had a period for amount SIX YEARS. During that week my weight was all over the place. Now that I am about one month and a week out, I feel like my weight lost is not where it should be. I have been working out almost every day since I had surgery but the weight is not falling off like everyone else. I don't know what is going on.

Can someone help me!!!

Take a breath and relax, everyone's body reacts to surgery differently. No matter how hard you're working whether you see it or not your body is changing. Everyone goes through stalls and nothing happens overnight, remember the surgery is just tool the rest of it's up to you but keep in mind you do have to be patient (no pun intended), I had my surgery one year ago and I've been stuck in the 160's since October. Relax and if you have any major concerns about it call your surgeon they and their team will have the best answers for you that anyone can give you. Good luck and give yourself some time. Don't compare your journey to others, our bodies react differently. I'm six weeks post op and down 31 lbs. was sleeved 3/13/2017. 25lbs is a huge loss!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
