Hi, just thinking, have you had your bloods checked? Are you taking all the Vitamins we need post op? Are you eating & drinking enough? I was feeling really tired 'into my bones tired' and my bloods showed I was low in Iron. A friend of mine was also tired and she was found to be low in Vitamin D. It's worth a check

I was feeling very tired and I just
received the first of 5 Iron transfusion. I also have a DVT and pulmonary embolism. My bariatric dietician recommended the iron transfusion. She believes from malapsorption from mgb i became anemic. Looking forward to better days ahead.

I'm 6 months out and I have way more energy than I did prior to surgery. Before surgery I would plop down in the recliner after eating dinner. Post surgery I'm cleaning up, working on craft and household projects. Are you eating enough? Getting in all your Protein? At 6 months I'm eating 1000 - 1200 calories, but was around 800-1000 at 4-5 months.

Just from my experience i don't agree! You should be feeling good! Make sure your blood work is good...vitamin B12, D and Iron levels.

I had a similar experience a few months after my rny. My program said I should stop Protein Shakes one month after surgery because they wanted us to get Protein from food sources. I was also feeling very tired and having no energy 3-4 months out, and once I added the protein shakes back into my routine, I started feeling better. Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
