so I got an EKG and they said in the three minutes he saw that I had left bundle branch block. Did anyone else have this and had the surgery? Or was their EKG false? Different strew test now. Ugh.

Also he said he never saw this in a 39 year old women which didn't make me comfortable.

Sometimes EKGs can be wrong. If they leads are not placed correctly. A left bundle branch is not a big deal. If anything is seriously wrong the mandated stress tests will reveal it long before surgery.

I had odd EKGs as well (more than one). Something about my left ventricle. I had to go through a stress EKG, then a stress EKG with u/s and after that I was cleared (nothing wrong). The doc had told me that more than likely the stress EKG would turn out bad and that we would have to do the u/s one (my insurance wouldn't cover the u/s one until the other was done first). I'm also 34 and he basically knew I would be fine but you know, they have to cover their butts. This all pushed my surgery back a couple months, but I will be having it done in May.

I would say to just stay on top of it. Get your appointments in sooner rather than later. Don't stress too much about it.

Good luck!

It really is better that do all these tests and figure everything out pre-op. The post op diet is rough on the system so best to get it right. I'm pretty happy that I've been poked, prodded, scanned, monitored and zapped from head to toe. Kind of like my 50,000 mi maintenance

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
