How often so you weigh in?

Recommended Posts

I try for every Friday morning... I really have a sense this many years out if my clothes are fitting well and how hard it is to do a decent work out. But I try to keep a baseline

I'm only 2 months out, but this is what I do too. I travel a bit for work and pleasure, even this early post-op, so sometimes it might be 2 weeks before I step on the scale. As long as the number is not going up, I'm satisfied (my weight loss is slow, sporadic, but always going down).

Oh it's good to hear someone else say their weight loss is slow. Mine is as well and I keep telling myself that is a good thing :) . Now I just have to listen to myself ;)

but I weigh about 4-5 days a week. I can usually tell if I'm on track or off. If I'm feeling off I get on the scale and it helps me get back on track. Less anxiety for me.

Early on I didn't weigh that often 1-2 times a week.

I try to weigh every day now or every other day. I only count my weight once a week.

This is my too. I wish I had the strength NOT to weigh this often -- I think it's better for mental health, in many ways -- but what can you do. Just accept the ups and downs~

I only weigh myself on Monday morning. Right after I had the surgery I was weighing myself daily and driving myself crazy. Now that I have reached the goal weight I may just do it every other week or once a month.

2 months out.. I weigh every day and keep a mental note. Each Monday I write down the lowest # I saw on the scale over the last week.

My weight fluctuates a lot on a day to day basis, but I am noticing a pattern.

The first thing every morning..... I get up go into the bathroom, get undressed and weight myself.... It has never gone up more than 2 ounces and occasionally stays the same. The 2 ounces I don't attribute to a "weight gain". it always goes down the next day

This is what I do but I see 1-3 lb fluctuations from day to day. I am not a person who freaks out about weight changes, it doesn't bother me. I have been watching my weight for so long I know that my period, salt intake, dehydration, etc can all impact my weight from day to day.

I mostly weight myself every to monitor my status and to ensure I get an early watching sign. If I were to miss the fact that my body has been periodically hitting a new low I would get discouraged. Or if I were somehow gaining a pound a day for a week, I'd want to know that too!

It really depends on your personality.

Everyday but I don't freak out if it goes up one day. I know I'm following the protocol so it will all be great in the end.

I'm up three pounds today from a week ago, despite eating an average of 800 Val's a day. I should stop weighing daily. It's maddening.

To be honest, I weigh in twice a week. However, Sundays are my official weigh in days.

I've been stepping on the scale every day. I went under 200 for the first time two days ago. I stepped on this morning and I was at 200.1, it upset me. I realize that is silly. However, going under 200 was such a milestone for me it has been years. I know it will go down again. I plan on weighing myself every morning fro the near future. I am only 2 weeks post-op. I just want to see what my body is doing.

2x a week at the gym. Monday is the official weigh in that I will log on my tracker. But I always do a mid-week peek, so that I'm mentally prepared for any fluctuations. There is nothing worse than being on plan all week and having Water retention mess with your head.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
