I got the call yesterday that my insurance approved my vsg surgery for april 26th! I am so excited! I just want these next 4 weeks to speed up haha anyone else have a surgery date of 4/26?

okay I am in the pre-op stages and ive been waiting for the date. I just wanna know already. I have 1 more nutrition appointment....how long after that did you find out? when did you start all of your pre-op things? I had to do 6 months of nutrition and of course the general other tests. all my tests came back perfect..and now this 1 appointment is next week. just wondering how soon I can expect a date. I'm too excited...we are gonna be some sexy mother-truckers for summer congrats to everyone with their dates! Good luck!

Yea I'm on the 19th as well very glad my surgeon doesn't require the pre liquid diet he said I can have a light breakfast the day before then just clear liquids

My doctor said they do this to shrink the liver. Also to prepare you for the Liquid diet after surgery. After the first day I was pretty sure my liver was going to be the size of a pea by my surgery date! Actually it hasn't been all that bad after the first few days.

The hard part is being around everyone else that is eating food that smells wonderful. [emoji23]

I'm on the 26th too! I'm beyond excited I thought my documentation wouldn't be enough (the wording on my pulmonary note was a little weird at first) but it was approved right away! It's been 8months of weigh ins and consults, I'm so glad that's over.

Second day of liquid diet. Not so bad yet. Made it to the gym last night. We will see if I make it tomorrow.

Tomorrow will be a week on the liquid diet and I am down 11 pounds. I have also managed to get to the gym 3 times also. Kept my normal exercises and weights the same. But the sets and reps are down a lot.
