Hello everyone, I had my sleeve on March 2nd. Was floored at my first weigh in today - 21 pounds since the surgery! I am so excited - definitely made these last two weeks worth the effort. I am also feeling great! Asked my doctor to release me back to work early but he still feels I should get some more rest if I'm able? For those just getting it done, push through any pain and regret - I know I'm still new too, but I promise you it gets better! Hope everyone else is doing as well.

So happy for you! I'll also be having 2 weeks off work and am planning to use the time to clear out any remaining "junk" from the kitchen and outing together folders of recipes and meal plans so that I set myself up for success. My surgery is this Saturday!

Congratulations!!!
I had my 1st weigh in today and happy to say I lost 25 pounds yayy me :)
My doctors also said I could return to work if I felt ok. I started back this Monday and could not do it the whole day so I'm now doing half days until I have the energy to day full days.

Congrats again and keep up the work!! [emoji6]

Thank you both. Yes, the energy thing is crazy - I feel like I have a ton but get worn out quick. I finally got my work release after 3 weeks, but with a restricted schedule as well. Congrats & Good luck to both of you on your journeys :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
