Did anyone else get nightmares/vivid dreams during their 2-week liquid diet?

Recommended Posts

I'm five days into my 2-week liquid diet, and I have most of the symptoms of "low-carb flu," plus a couple of extra ones. I find I'm very anxious and jittery during the day, and I have strange, vivid nightmares at night that are hard to wake up from. I drink almost no caffeine, so that isn't the cause of the anxiety. Any thoughts on whether my symptoms are related to my diet?

I start my diet on 1st April and have heard of this, whether it's to do with being in such a low calorie diet or just your body going through a detox it's fascinating!
Would love to hear other people's journeys on this!

Now that you mention it, yes. That abated for me soon enough. Vivid is one thing, but nightmares are another. If you have chronic nightmares, consider mentioning this to your surgical team. Good luck!

My surgery is scheduled for April 3rd. It's feeling very real this week, which is why I believe I'm having crazy and vivid dreams. I usually dream about the same old stuff, but these dreams are weird!
My liquid diet starts March 29th.

Not having nightmares, but my sleep is very fitful and I am feeling jittery during the day with 1/3 of my usual coffee! Maybe pre-op jitters? Or maybe it is the diet? Our subconscious minds are surely very busy sorting out these changes and trying to make sense of them.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
