I start my 2 week liquid diet tomorrow. Any advice? I'm pretty nervous.

Personally, I didn't find it to be as bad as I thought it would be. The first few days were hard for me, not necessarily because I was hungry but because I missed the sensation of chewing. I'm on my last day of pre-op diet (surgery tomorrow) and I can proudly say I didn't cheat once! I just kept reminding myself that the pre-op diet was for my own good for surgery. I also relied heavily on chicken broth because I was getting really tired of the sweet Protein Shakes. Also, sugar free popsicles and Jello are great options too! Good luck!! :)

Popsicles and Jello are really good additional options. Thank you!

Went to my pre-op class on Thursday and was SO happy to know that I could have popsicles and Jello because I'm almost certain I'm going to be tired of Protein shakes!

I start my liquid diet on Thursday. 4 shakes and 2 Protein Bars a day. Can have broth, popsicles, and jello also, along with Water, Crystal light, G2, etc. And one small banana a day to keep potassium up.

Trying to syke myself up to think it won't be as bad as it seems.

Good luck, OP. We've got this [emoji4][emoji4]

I'm definitely hoping it's not as bad as it seems!

I'm in the midst of mine.

I was told Protein pudding too. Make sugar free pudding with a scoop of unflavored Protein Powder.

I'm allowed 1 hard boiled egg, 1 protein yogurt, 1/2 cup protein pudding and 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese

I just made broth today (going to freeze some for post op) but I had some and it's a nice change

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
