How everything went on your first day of your new jounery and how are doing after your surgery

First day right after the surgery was very hard but as every hour passed it got easier and easier.

I feel good most of the time aside from the gas pain which is helped by a heating pad

@Emileana congrats and happy you're doing well. My surgery is tomorrow and I'm petrified. How long did it take to get your pain under control?

The hospital staff really helped with this. I did end up taking morphine while in hospital and they sent me home with a prescription that I have been taking ever since. But I only take 1 pill every 6 hours now opposed to 2 every 6 hours. Every day gets easier.

Mine is TOMORROW!!! Excited and scared and happy and a tiny bit nervous. (Especially because a giant hernia is being repaired at the same time.) But I have faith. And lots and lots of prayers going up.

Jhope71 im right behind you. 4/11. Hernia repair also. Yes lots of prayers for us.[emoji4]

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
