My surgeon said Decaf was fine to start right away. Wants me to wait 3 months before I have any caffeine.

I had my surgery on 2/8. I stopped caffeine weeks before. I do take a few sips of Decaf in the mornings.

I too stopped caffeine two weeks before switched to Decaf. But a week after surgery My doctor said I can have a cup a day of caffeinated So I do. It takes more than a cup to get dehydrated from caffeine. Just make sure you drink plenty of Water too.

I switched to Decaf abt 3 weeks prior so I could "detox" ugh. My question is I too was sleeved 2/13 and I so badly want a cup of coffee but there is no way I can drink it black. Has anyone used just a tiny bit of sf Creamer?

Can't you add a dash of milk? It has Protein. I don't think it will hurt. But I'm not a doctor either.

Yea, I don't see the big deal either. But since I'm not even a full week post-op idk? I have been doing great. Held all my fluids down since day 1. I have sf coffee creamer and silk high Protein milk.

Has anyone else used any coffee creamer?

Caffeine is highly acidic. Not good for your healing stomach! This is a major surgery and life change.

I gave up caffeine and its been 8 weeks. Sticking to herbal teas. It's doable.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
