So angry today!!

Recommended Posts

Day 8 post op. Am doing well but today I have been snapping at everyone. Not hungry but want to taste food and devour everything. Hubby is making egg fried rice with prawns and some lovely fish on side for him and my son and I feel so angry that I cant have it. I am having a lovely glass of milk which I love but today I just want food in my mouth. My daughter is out to dinner and when I asked her where she is going she said she is actually scared to tell me lol. Hopefully tomorrow I wake up in better mood

I know what you mean Mandi! I am sooooo ready to chew something, (other than my d vitamins!). Lucky for me today tho, my wife is making homemade chicken noodle Soup as our daughter is sick, so I will get some really good broth. Nutritionist tells me next Thursday I can begin to add yogurt! Woo pie!

Solids will be here soon, keep strong, we can do it![emoji109]

Same thing happened to me. My husband was eating tuna fish and crackers (of all things) - I had to leave the room.

I've been super good with people eating around me. (Surgery Feb 7) but at Day 8, when I was allowed full liquids, I was so frustrated, I wanted something of substance. I got chocolate fairlife milk which quieted me anger.

The good news is I haven't thought about the food since the . Just 1 day. So, you can do it! Think positive!

I know this is off the topic of your reply, but I just tried the Firlife low fat milk snd it was good. Is it ok for us to drink the chocolate? (I am trying to learn everything I can before my June sleeve surgery)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
