Working Out is ALL about showing up Daily

Recommended Posts

I really didn't initially start exercising till about 3 months ago or so and I started with the attitude of - I HATE WORKING OUT - then i realized if weight loss and better health is what I really want THEN I gotta do what I gotta do and it all began with - SHOWING UP DAILY at the GYM - NOW, I just and still walk for 45 minutes, swim for 10 and sauna and hot tub for the remainder of my time there daily. My mind fought me ALOT for a long time but this month I commited to myself to make the entire month daily. I had started out once a week, then twice a wekk then every other day and NOW EVERY DAY and I am thinking that I will continue doing it like this UNTIL I get EXACTLY where I want to be. ACTION is the call and SHOWING UP DAILY at the GYM makes that all come together and I thought I would share my experience with everyone. It is no big deal, I DO NOT press myself during my workout either. BUT, I do show up EVERY DAY. Good Luck to All - You too can do it.....

BTW-I just exceeded my personal goal of 100 lbs in 12 months, I did it in 11. God is Good to me.

Oh, I wish I could do it every day...but I cannot. I can, however, walk with my girls on the days I can't...and I do!

Thanks for the inspiration. My goal is 100lbs by one year as well. Although, to be frank, I'd like to be at goal by then...but let's keep it reasonable, shall we!!!

Great post!

Wow. 100 pounds in 11 months. I hope I can do that. Although I think I will just be happy with 100 pounds period.

OK well this just motivated me to get off of my behind shortly and go walking. I shoot for 5 days per week, but this week I am at only 4, so I will go get that 5th day.

Thanks.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
