I finally got my surgery approved by Insurance. This has been a long process from having H Pylori on my EGD with two rounds of treatment to getting my family to support my decision. But I'm almost there with getting the time off from work to have my surgery on 3/16/2017. Reading all the post on here and seeing all the pictures make me want to hit my goal hard and stay in check. I feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas morning.post-312550-14862730314319_thumb.jpg

I had to have a sleep study, an EGD, see psych for clearance. Of course seeing a nutrition specialist 3 times. My EGD showed that I had a H Pylori and have been treated with two different course of medicine. Which are no fun.

You sound like me. I had to have similar stuff done and started this Journey in December. I just had a endoscopy a couple days ago and have a hernia in my stomach and irritation so now am on two meds. One more appointment with the doc and hopefully will get a date for surgery soon.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
