That is super fast! What insurance do you have? My insurance requires a 6 month process. I started everything back in Nov.

I started the process in feb and surgery is next month. Waiting on final approval from insurance company.

I just found out I was approved and my surgery is scheduled for April 17th. I was really shocked that my approval only took about 24 hours [emoji15].
Now it is getting real!

What insurance do you have? I have BC/BS of IL and my approval came within five hours. She submitted in the morning and by two she had an approval. Hopefully you'll hear something soon, if not today!! Fingers crossed for you :780_sparkling_heart:

Thanks. I have Tricare Prime. I can't wait to hear back. It's normally 24 hours for them. I think they're waiting for my upper gi that I'm getting done right now. I'm waiting to be called in. Then I'll probably hear back next week. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. My younger brother is getting married in June so I'm looking forward to lose a good amount of weight before I head out to cali.

Don't forget, after all your testing is done and you're officially waiting for approval, you can call the insurance company to check on your status. Sometimes they will approve you, but take a day or two before sending something out.

I'm too excited about getting a good amount of weight off by fall. It will be nice to go through a corn maze and not want to collapse twenty minutes in.

That's good to know thanks. Maybe I'll call them on Monday.

I know the feeling. I can't wait to just be able to go back out to play with the kids. I was in the Army and I just want to go back to my old self and show them momma used to be a soldier and she's now back to her old self.
Running through a corn maze sounds like fun!

My tentative date is April 26th. They are just waiting to get the approval to confirm and schedule my last meeting with my surgeon to go over questions and with my nurse to go over what my pre open diet will consist of.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
