Hi all. I am 3 weeks post op. I have had some difficulties but I think I am getting better. Is it safe to have lemon at this time. I feel when I feel sick or just need something else. I suck on a lemon and it helps. Just wanted to make sure it's ok.

My surgeon was really nervous about letting me even cook with lemon. He finally said I could when I hit the stage where I could have fish because I begged. Even then he said just a little. I haven't had any issues with it though.

Hi all. I got sleeved 1/6/17.

On my food list from Nut. is TRUE LEMON. I already used it prior 2 WLS, been using it in my tea since day2 post op. No issues. Actually tea was my very first meal post op. Its dehydrated powdered lemon, sold at spmkt in a shaker in seasonings isle or packets where crystal lite is. Also comes True Lime. Both are great. Give it a try. Good luck. Feel better.

I imagine the problem is acidity. Likely for the esophagus, rather than the stomach (stomach acid is more potent than lemons!). Just a guess...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
