Personally, i have lost at the same speed as a first time bypass patient according to my doc (i was band to bypass). The band just didn't work for me.

I had the revision in September and have lost total of 37lbs since day of surgery, my sister had surgery 3 years ago and had lost 50 lbs during same time period but she had more to lose than me. My Dr told me everyone is different and with the revision you sometimes weight loss is slower, but I am happy with my progress.

I've lost 27.6 pounds in 7 1/2 weeks. I think that's on target for my BMI and gender. Hope it doesn't slow down!

Had the band in 2008, had it removed in 2015. It was semi successful, but I had many problems over the years, which finally resulted in getting it removed.

Was sleeved in November, and could be happier. I feel much better and don't have any of the issues I had with the band. Good luck!

Is the diet the same as the band, should be?

Essentially yes. Protein first, then veg. Potato/pasta/rice/flour are a no. No fluids for 30 min after eating.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
