StanCounty29 you look great. Hope to do the same. I started at 198 and almost one month I'm at 170. Can't wait [emoji4] to reach my goals Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

If u do and eat wt ur supposed too and wrk out u will do great! Hope u reach your goal soon. They had my goal to be at 130lb and told me that after the 1yr everyone usually gains 10 lbs but that had not been the case. I wanna say that for the holidays I went up 4lbs but now I'm back to same weight of 111lb. So I know u will do great! keep it up hope to see progress pics soon.

My husband doesnt want me to get the bypass because he thinks I will loose to much . I started at 202 now at 196. surgery to decide on. My Dr. recommends the bypass because of my diabetes. I need with you starting at 198 are you scared that you could loose to much? I need help explaining to him....

I am a little nervous that I will lose too much but with my health I would rather be too small than too big. I'm 51 and I have had 4 heart ❤️ attacks due to high cholesterol. My BP has been staying too high. I am also only 4/8 so from 198, I need to be at 110. I did the surgery to guarantee I could successfully lose 88 lbs. if by chance I lose too much I will try to address that situation at the time but for now, I just need to lose 60 more lbs

Hey luv u should look in to all the surgery options. Maybe another surgery would be different with the situation ur going through. My sis in law had the sleeve and she no longer has diabetes. So there's lots of options but u have to be sure..

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
