Medicaid requirements

Recommended Posts

What was all the requirements Medicaid had in order for you to get the surgery?

From first consultation to surgery table what was the length of time through Medicaid?

It all depends on where you live. Here in Oregon you do tests, diet, see your primary once a month for 6 months for Medicaid to approve. Marijuana and nicotine and psych screens. must lose 5 percent of whatever you weigh when you start. The hitch here in Oregon is if you are obese without certain confirmed co-morbidities, the waiting list is 1-2 years long. However if you have diabetes and a second co-morbidities like sleep apnea or GERD, as soon as you do your 6 months, you can get scheduled. Call a reputable doctor at a hospital bariatric center in your city/state...they'll tell you what Medicaid requires.

I needed 3 months documented diet and weight from primary Dr. That was it. I got approval in one week!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
