PCOS after having surgery

Recommended Posts

Possibly! I've been getting my face waxed every 2 weeks for a.long time. I had my Sleeve done on 12/5. Last week when I went for a face wax, my hair stylist mentioned that my facial hair is not as bad. So we are trying 3 weeks between face waxes. My primary Dr already took me off metformin (I take for PCOS ) because my levels look. I don't know about infertility because I am 47.

Yes. I did not have very many physical symptoms of PCOS like facial hair, or acanthosis nigrican it was mostly the irregular or absence of my menstrual cycle, infertility, mood swings, elevated hgb a1c therefore I would get hypoglycemic and of course the weight gain and PCOS belly. I am DELIVERT!!!! at 171.8 My belly is about a 28 inches I'd like it to go down to about a 24, 25. Hgb a1c is like 5.2, No mood swings although I do have periods of restlessness and anxiety that come and go. Cycles are coming like clockwork and they are fairly normal and weight loss remains steady. So yes I would say my PCOS symptoms have most certainly improved. I am 6 months post op.

I was on 3 meds for PCOS, my dr took me off all of them right after surgery.

I have pros and lap band done for myself to control the hidden symptoms of my pcos. You need to detox your body and be careful about dairy products for pros. I eat a lot of Protein and veggies and detox about 3 days a week and drink basil seeds for the antiflamtory I have.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
