Hi I'm about 4 weeks out and my stomach is slowly accepting different foods. Is it ok if I have a pb&j sandwich? Will it effect my sleeve? Of course it'll be one slice of bread cut in half I can't eat a whole sandwich but I was wondering if anyone has had it???? Just concerned about it being sticky etc. thanks and please don't leave any negative comments. :)

@goldenbarbie.

Take this as you wish. Negative or positive

Is it ok if I eat ______? You should abe asking yourself is this something I SHOULD eat?

Is it on your diet progression of your plan? Is the bread carbohydrates sugar macros worth the exchange for hitting your Protein goals?

If you decide to go that way you ought to consider PB2 or pb fit and sugar free jam. I'm still trying to keep my carbs in a relatively low level and this wouldn't be a choice that I would make. Are you cleared.for all foods at this point?

I agree with @@jenn1, you can eat it if it's allowed on your plan, but should you? I am 11 months out today and have kept bread, rice, potatoes and Pasta out of my post op eating. It's a slippery slope for me, once I have it I am so afraid I will want it....a lot of it. I would like to introduce a little whole grain bread and some Pasta back into my life when I reach goal and am in maintenence.

Hi golden Barbie... that sounds so good ... especially with the Fairlife skim milk I have been drinking. But for me I just can't . One PB & J will lead to another one and I have lost the taste for bread but if I bite into that delicious bunny bread with grape jelly and pb.... I'm gonna be like a crack head hitting the pipe, lol. But sounds so good.

MMMmmmm.... Carbs from the bread, sugar from the jelly, fat from the Peanut Butter. And barely any Protein.

Seems like a perfect option to me!

Lmaooooo do you search for my posts? You comment under every single one of my topics with a little "shady" comment then get upset when I curse you out, yet you claim that you're trying to help.

Lmao you seem to be on this app 24/7, I know you're a little older but you should get a hobby..... or job. I think it's adorable how you stalk my posts though, thank you I didn't realize how important I was to you

Are you 4 weeks out? I just had my one month anniversary. I lost 24 lbs .. so I did okay. Some people lose like 40 lbs in a month but I'm trying to stay positive and work on focusing on my success. What was your surgery date?

@@Dknal2

Haha I totally understand and thank you! Called my surgeon he said it's fine, but to still focus on the Protein shakes as well. So I'll be having my pb&j shortly ????

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
