Hiya, @@sleeved.tekee! I was sleeved on 12/21/16.

My question is what are some things you may have tried at this point?

I am also on the pureed/soft foods part of healing. I've had skim ricotta (my favorite), Greek yogurt, strained Soups from Panera, hummus, pudding, popsicles, tuna with mayo.< /span>

How did u cook it?

The only thing I've really cooked was Eggface's Ricotta Bake - I wasn't a fan, personally. However, I add unflavored Protein powder to everything to ensure that I am meeting my Protein goals.

How did ur stomach handle it?

I've not yet been nauseous, vomited, or overeaten. I measure everything and run my phone's stopwatch during meals. One minute between bites, I chew as much as I can stand to, for a max of 15-20 minutes of mealtime.

This way I know my caloric intake and macros for the day. No guesswork.

At soft foods I ate chicken salad, tuna salad, scrambled egg with cheese, ground beef (use different seasonings to change it up), soft shredded chicken ( inside of a chicken enchilada), toppings off nachos with refried Beans, ground beef and cheese. There is a lot of variety and you are at the gateway to solid foods. At 6.5 mths out, I have not had any food that hasn't agreed with me. Go slow with tiny bites.

I ate a lot of fish during the soft phase, especially Swai and Cod. Baked them with a little lemon juice and olive oil. Easy to swallow and a lot of Protein. I also stuck pretty much with greek yogurt, cottage cheese, scrambled eggs w/cheese.

I had my surgery 11/28 when can we eat salad ! So fuzzy on why I can't try it yet

Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

When does your plan say you can have raw veggies? It takes a lot more work for the stomach to digest salad, therefore the delay. Once you do get to have it, there much room if any, after you eat your Protein . I only have salad now if it is a meal like taco salad or chef salad, but dont actually eat much of the salad.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
