New, nervous and excited!

Recommended Posts

I have been considering gastric bypass for the past 10+ years and am finally in the position to make it happen! I am hoping 2017 is my year of change!

I attended a seminar for Norton Bariatric in Louisville in November and started the weight management program that is required by Cigna in December. I am required to go a minimum of three consecutive months (>89 days) so I am hoping to have them under my belt by February.

When I called the surgeon's office to inquire about making an appointment, they wouldn't even schedule one until my physician's visits are complete and they have received my information packet. I was hoping to have some of the other requirements completed so I could get into surgery quicker.

So a little about me... I am 36, female and currently reside in Louisville. I am 5'9 and currently weigh 267 lbs. My goal after surgery is to be around 165 lbs and free of taking any medications. Anywho, thanks for reading and I wish everyone the best!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
