RNY gastric bypass done on December 24th, need buddies

Recommended Posts

Hi

I've had my gastric sleeve revision to rny gastric bypass four days ago. I'm home since yesterday but it wasn't and still isn't easy. It feels as though I've been punched with 5 umbrellas and I have slight diarrhea but no more GERD and I'm hoping it begins to get better from now on. Happy to find similar people for support. Strangely enough I've been asked to take Clear Liquids on my first week, then full liquids like milk and yogurt on the second week, then purred foods on then third week but I wasn't told I should take in Protein. Any feedback is appreciated thanks

Hey ondo I just had my revision sleeve to.bypass yesterday and I must say this recovery is a lot harder than I expected I also had a hiatal hernia repair and my sleeve was slightly twisted. I'm on Clear liquids until day 3. Then I'll be on full Protein liquids for two weeks. My dietitian wants us focusing on hitting Protein goals of 60g and 48oz of fluids in total. The shoulder gas pain has been killer but I've been walking a ton !!! Feel free to add or message me !!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
