Cancelled surgery?

Recommended Posts

I had so many fears just like that. It will be fine you're going through something many of us had. I used to drink a lot n thought they're going to get in there and my liver is going to be too enlarged... lol I'm 12 days post GBP and it all went well.

My doctor wasn't strict on the 2 week pre op diet. I still was supposed to get 800-1000 calories in with one of my meals being solid food. I did pretty good. Yesterday I had Soup for my Christmas dinner, but I did eat a peanut bar cookie thing, just 1. Now tomorrow starts my clear liquid diet and that's going to be a doozy but I only had to do that for 2 days. I'm just stressed and fearful about something going wrong. I've been waiting 2 years for this surgery. I just want everything to go well. My anxiety is just horrible these last couple of days.

Has anyone ever come out of surgery and been told they couldn't do the operation? It's one of my biggest fears and with surgery happening this Thursday, I'm so nervous.

Happened to me. After 3 of the 6 incisions, my 1st VSG attempt was aborted. I still had too much abdominal weight, which caused concerns and therefore aborted. I had successful VSG surgery 8 months later.

No but my surgeon said that if I had, requested anything except vsg he would've closed it up and canceled.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
