Too fast weightloss?

Recommended Posts

So I'm 4 days post op and my starting weight was 381. I weighed this afternoon and I am 367. I've lost 14lbs in 4 days....is this normal or not? I love seeing the number go down but I don't want to get sick b/c it went too fast...

The higher your start weight, the faster it comes off. It'll stabilize soon.

Enjoy it.....its slows down a lot after the first month or two. Then you will wish you lost that fast. LOL

Same here I'm 6 days out and went from 280 to 268 by day 4 too. I've had trouble going to stage 1 diet so I'm pretty much on the liquid diet still. I blame it on that but hey I'm not mad that just means as soon as we can get to working out we need to give it our all.

through out my loss it was fast loss and then a stall. then fast loss again. from the posts I find this a very normal. our bodies need time to adjust. some times this takes weeks as you get further out I think I was so excited that I was expecting it to just be one steady drop. when you stall don't panic just know your body is taking stock and it will lose again. also pay attention to things other than the scale ( we are told to only weigh once per month) as the body naturally gains and loses lbs ie at your menstrual cycle

good luck to you

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
