So I have a question, my surgery is December 20th, and I know the incisions will be on the upper half of my stomach and hen in the middle and such. Did anyone ever have trouble with bras? Or do you know of any solutions to be had with them? I bought a Bralette that wouldn't be as much pressure on that area but I didn't know if anyone had a better solution!

Thanks!

Bralettes are the way to go. One of my incisions was right under my boob and there's no way an underwire would work.

Also, you might be too swollen to tolerate an underwire bra for a while.

I wore front hook sports bras for two weeks - then when I went back to work switched to underwires.

No way I was rockin the uniboob at work.

Luckily it wasn't a problem - but I think initially the front hook thing was key because I can't put my bras on and hook them in back. I put the on backwards and scoot then around. Didn't want to scoot bra bands across my incisions.

My incision was under the bra line so no problem with bra..I did wear sports bra when I went out the first week..but back to work n no issues..I was not stapled tho they used glue for my incisions and it helped with healing..4wks n no scar there..:D good luck on your journey

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
