So I had my RNY on 11/30. Surgery went well, recovery going ok...... I've lost 11 pounds so far. Unfortunately I know for a fact I haven't been meeting my Water or my Protein goals. It's been so hard...i honestly feel full...all the time. I also have fears of stretching out my tummy. Idk im all over the place lol

@@RNY_Honeybee You are completely normal!! Those are just goals that you try to reach but nobody can in the beginning. But you'll get there. And we all worry about stretching our tummy's. Just follow the rules and you should be good. I don't really know for sure if the tummy ever really gets stretched or if we just get used to filling it more or something like that. You'll do great!!

Me either and I can't take some vitimins . I've lost my taste. Even Water tastes gross and I can drink it only 1 swallow at a time.

It will all get better as time goes buy. You do need to make sure you are staying hydrated so try using lemon or lime in your Water or even some of the flavored SF waters.

Tastes post surgery really is a weird thing but honestly it does get better.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
