So for anyone that is intrested i had a ds done on the 5th. I got up and walked around i was feeling the gas pains pretty good so i walked and walked. The second day felt better and i was really walking around alot and at a quick pace. Dr came by said i was good to go home sent me home with a pain management ball. The ride home was two hours we made several stops but by the time i got home i was full of gas again i was hurting bad. I walked and walked and nothing so i finally decided to take a gas x something my doctor was against. I said screw it and took it. All while trying to put on a brave face so the i told you so's would not start flying out.

Finally the gas went down some and i was able to lay down. The next day was a lot better took more gas x and tooted then pooped and it felt wonderful. Now i go every two or three hours which according to nurse at hospital is normal. Thursday so far so good will be removing the pain ball today ill let yall know how that goes if yall are interested.

So we removed the pain ball and that went really smoothly the tape being so stuck to the skin was the hardest part. However once the tape was gone the binder that has been keeping me all nice and tight keeps sliding up and down so i put a tank top on then the binder seems to help but my skin is really irritated. So here is tmi if you want to stop reading. I urinate daily and have bm's every other day they are loose and gassy. Today though i had a normal bm. That made me happy lol. It's funny how life works. I can't remember if i already mentioned the spotting but that is still happening the nurses in hospital said it is very common with female patients.

Now working on creative ways to make it to 80 grams of Protein and getting in my eight cups. I got close yesterday but still working on it with out hurting my self. Anyways that is my update for those that are interested. Oh and pain is quite a bit better i am now able to shift in bed and give my back a break.

As with the abdominal gas. I always imagine the surgeon could help us out a bit by puttting in large "straws" in our laproscopic incisions and squeeze us like a bagpipe after the surgery. LOL. The pain will go away, but I still feel for you!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
