I start tomorrow. My diet lists plain yogurt in a smoothie only, as long as I stay within my daily calorie limit.

Every pre-op diet is different. Mine doesn't allow yogurt at all or any solid foods. It is liquid only for 2 weeks

I start my pre-op diet tomorrow and can have food, but it must be food from the hospital's pharmacy that is low cal, low carb, and fortified with Protein. Surgery is next Wednesday, it's sneaking up so fast!

Thats my surgery date also,good luck to you. How have you been feeling so far? Lately ive been weak,but i keep pushing myself.

Is anyone else confused by the pre op diet? I've heard and read so many different allowances in the diet. My nurse isnt the fastest at returning calls and is new to any type of WLS.

Can any one tell me if yogurt and diet Snapple tea are ok?

Diet Snapple that is caffeine free is okay. Caffeine is a diuretic and you absolutely don't want that. Fo r yogurt, I was told a little greek nonfat plain yogurt was fine. I added a little agave and a couple blueberries. That was my dinner last night.

I had an interesting call from the schedulers office this afternoon. I was scheduled for surgery on January 10th, but they said they'd had a cancellation and asked if I'd like to move up the surgery to January 5th..... Well, heck yeah! Put me in coach!
