If you are only getting in 300 calories per day, I would guess you are not hitting your Protein goals. That needs to be your priority, along with hydration.

That said, the other thing you are possibly doing wrong is having expectations about the rate of weight loss that are out of whack with reality. Put aside the first three weeks -- all sorts of weird things happen as your body recovers from surgery. Some people lose really fast, others don't lose at all. But it sorts itself out after a while, and I have to say that having been around this board for over 4 years now, losing 5 lbs every couple weeks is on the fast side of normal. So stop beating yourself up and start patting yourself on the back as you work towards that Protein goal. Good luck!

It's the 3 week stall, just a reality, learn to live with it, but stay on program. Mine lasted about 8 or 9 days, I didn't lose an ounce e. Then it started up again and has been steady.

But you already know about, so why are you venting.

Why freak out about something you know is normal. I was never the expectation that weight loss would be fast and furious. It is better for you body to lose slowly. This is a lifelong journey so you might as well enjoy it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
